You don't have to live in an agricultural community to support them. Agricultural Societies are non-profit organizations funded by their members, grants, donations and many fundraising events. With the help, support, and hard work of their Directors, Officers, members, and volunteers, they strive to bring a sense of purpose and direction to local youth. Many of the youth within the agricultural communities could very well become the future farmers who will help to feed our growing nation. For a mere seven dollars you can become a member of The Fenelon Agricultural Society. Your membership dollars will, not only help us put on the fair, but help to educate youth with emphasis toward the extremely important impact they could play in supplying the goods and services we need to make Canada strong. Your membership admits you to, and supports the agricultural fair held at the Fenelon Fair Grounds every year in August. It also entitles you to attend the annual meeting, contribute your own ideas and comment on how you feel we are doing. You can nominate or be nominated for a position on the board, then vote for who you feel will do the best job. Members also have the right to enter or participate in any of the events during the fair. The 2008 fair will be held on August 8, 9 & 10. So join in. Sponsor an event, make a charitable donation or just become a member. Be assured, your generosity and support will go a long way toward helping our youth realize their importance toward, not only the farming communities, but also the cities they support and the great country we live in. To become a member send a cheque or money order, (no cash please) for seven dollars along with stamped self addressed envelope so we can mail your admission/membership card.
